A Powerful Woman - Myra Rutledge
THE  SCRIPTURES  SOME  PASTORS REFUSE TO TEACH...
Fearing The Lost Of Membership

PROSPERITY

When I was growing up there was a minister that came on TV who'd always preach prosperity. He dressed with flamboyance, preached Jesus, but at the same time glorified riches. Created things. Some God-Fearing Christians were appalled at him, even labeled him as a "Devil Preacher." It seemed that his form of gospel was few in those days. There were no trustworthy preachers willing to follow in his shenanigans.

Let's fast forward to the present. Now, it's as if the seed he sowed, and others like him, has sprouted into a kingdom called "Prosperity Ministry." Is this a new Gospel?

Matthew 6:33clearly says, "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Has this scripture only been added in recent years? Have we been missing something?

Jesus has told us to seek righteousness, first. There is no good thing that He'll withhold from His own. The people called by His name. All people are not His (John 8:47). So they go rambling for a new way of trying to attain what God has already promised, if we follow His Will.

The world is filled to the rim with "selfish-gain" ministries. They preach about tithing, giving, and building up a castle on earth. God has already told us that this world is not our (Christians) home. At some churches, if a person is paying in abundance, then they're at premier status. Far-be-it for the pastor to chastise this person's sin with the Word of God. This pastor preaches only what these itching ears want to hear (2Timothy 4:3-4). His desire is to please man, not God.

Tithing and giving are important and shouldn't be left undone. Nonetheless, we shouldn't neglect justice, mercy, and faith, which are most important in the eyes of the Lord (Matthew 23:23). Teach people to love and they will give from the heart.

Our Father is rich in houses and land. When we accept Him, through His Son, Jesus, we are heirs to the promise of living a prosperous life. Trust Him.

HELL

A Fire and Brimstone Preacher. They're hard to find these days. Everybody is having so much fun seeking riches. Sodom and Gomorrah was only a fable. Wasn't it? Noah and the Ark. Wasn't that a childhood fantasy? Have we forgotten that God has destroyed this world before, because of sin? Have we forgotten that the righteousness of Noah and Lott saved them? Have we forgotten that it won't be water but fire next time?

God hates sin. And He's going to destroy sin and all sinners, once and for all. The battle has already been won, through Jesus. But some still don't believe, refusing to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of all mankind. Some people will never be born-again. We must be born-again (1Timothy 2:4).

Who's going to Hell? All God Haters; the people who follow their own agenda and not the path God has ordered them to take. The unsaved (1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Ephesians 5:1-6).

Originally, Hell was a place for Satan and the other fallen angels (demons). Man has become so wicked until Hell has enlarged itself to accommodate humans, too (Isaiah 5:14-15).

HEAVEN

In today's society Heaven can be accepted, by some. It's characteristics are liken to a place we could hang out and shoot the breeze. People believe in Heaven, but since we're not speaking of Hell these days, we don't want to bring up Heaven. In doing so, some pastor's would have to let people know that we're not all the same. There is a difference between the righteous and unrighteous. Those that love God and those that don't. Careful, don't want to step on toes.

Heaven is the reward for living a righteous lifestyle by honoring God and placing Him above all. We can't get to Heaven unless we first, give our lives to Christ. Everybody ain't going to Heaven (Romans 9:27). That's a fact!

If you don't care to read your Bible, then bring out the old hymns and get reacquainted with "None But the Righteous Shall See God, " and the other truths that people used to sing about when referring to God and His Kingdom.

Who's going to Heaven? Only the people who do God's will (Matthew 7:21-23).

1Corinthians 2:9-10Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of a man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

Prosperity *** Hell*** Heaven

God is the same, yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness (2Timothy 2:15-16).

If you are not sitting in a church where true doctrine is taught and preached, then it's time to move on. It doesn't matter how huge the membership is or how beautiful the building might be. You may even be holding on to a position of prestige within the church, and you don't want to let it go. But all these things are fading fast and so is time.

A good time may have been had by all, but who was saved from their sins?
